Student Information
Student Responsibilities
Each student should keep a copy of his or her timetable at home so that he/she may check it for the day's classes. It is a student's responsibility to have appropriate textbooks, supplies, and completed assignments for each class period. During class changes, students must move promptly to the next class without delay or any unnecessary detour.
Washrooms
During class changes or at other times during the school day, washrooms must be used for the purpose for which they are intended. To avoid congestion, students are to be in and out of the washrooms promptly.
Care of Textbooks and School Property
Each text must be numbered and assigned to a specific student. Textbooks are issued to students, free of charge. Students are expected to take good care of them. Lost or damaged books are of no use to students.
Extra-curricular Activities
Extracurricular activities are activities that take place beyond the regular working hours. All staff members are encouraged to participate.
Students' Conduct To, From, and In School
Students are responsible for conducting themselves according to the dictates of good judgment. Courtesy and consideration of others are most important. Conduct that may endanger others and/or interfere with the rights of others is not acceptable.
The following are required of all students:
- Act with "safety" in mind
- Do not interfere with the learning of other students in the school.
- Be courteous and respectful to all staff and fellow students.
- Obey class and school rules.
- Show up on time
- Be prepared
- Complete assignments
- Respect self and others
All students are subject to these expectations. Students who persist in defying expectations will be restricted in their activities.
Staff refers to all persons who are associated with the school and includes custodial/maintenance personnel and transportation drivers.
Clothing, Foot Wear, Sun-glasses & MP3 Players
Students are not permitted to wear outside footwear inside the school. All outerwear should be hung in the appropriate location. MP3 players and cell phones must be turned off upon entering the school. Hats, bandanas, sunglasses, caps, and black-sole runners, which leave scuffmarks, are not to be worn in the school.
